January Favourites: Top 3! | Cold Nights and Rainy Days.

As we draw to the end of January and head closer to spring (YAY!) I thought I'd take the time today to share with you all the things that have kept me sane as well as happy during the past weeks of stress and panic. January has just been one of those months but when has it not been? It is by far my least favourite month and I always feel like it drags on and on... but it is almost February and so to bring a bit more positivity, here are my top 3 favourite things from this month!

Pink Wrap Scarf, River Island - Words cannot describe how much I have fallen in love with this wrap scarf. My mum got it for me one Christmas and I absolutely loved the colour but because it was so huge I hated wearing it outside, literally, I looked like a human marshmallow. So I never really used it. That is until the past few weeks of endless work into the early hours and cold dark evenings shivering away found me grabbing it from the wardrobe in a desperate and vain attempt to keep myself warm. Honestly, the best decision I could have made. This scarf is now my best friend and companion and you'll often find me just sat at my desk wrapped up into a pink woolly ball.

Magpie Mug - How pretty is this mug? I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I bought it at the end of last year in Manchester and already it has found its place at the top of my favourite mug collection. Its made by a company called Magpie who have an absolutely beautiful collection of mugs, tableware and stationary on their site but this one is my favorite. I'm absolutely in love with teal and lilac at the moment and this mug has become my trusty companion to my morning coffee.

James Bay - Back in November one Sunday morning, whilst sat trying to write a report I found myself perusing the music of Soundcloud. I like Soundcloud for it's variety and unique content of music. Desperate for something acoustic, mellow but upbeat (if that's even such a thing?) I came across the music of a James Bay. I had no idea who he was but I was completely taken by his songs and little did I know I would be waking up one early morning in January to his song Hold Back the River on Radio 1 Breakfast. This literally made my day that day, I absolutely love his songs and that hat!

Whats been your favourite thing from this month?
